Not sure about the first and the last yet… but Act of Valor and Being Flynn look FANTASTIC!

“Marigold” looks interesting and funny. As for “John Carter”, by all rights I should not like it, but I am intrigued. We’ll see if it delivers.

Good god, John Carter looks unbelievably generic and rote. Maybe Stanton can pull a Brad Bird and make the transition from animation to live action seamlessly and the film will be great, but nothing about the footage tells me I should be all that excited for it. We’ll see, like you say.

I’m more interested in Being Flynn, if only because it gives DeNiro something new to do with his time, and I think pairing him with Paul Dano– the old guard and the new guard– makes some sense.

Act of Valor just looks like big damn military recruitment video to me.

I do not know why I am so excited about “John Carter”, but I am. I did find out they hired Michael Chabon to help with the screenplay. Barring a late night at work I will be at an advance screening tomorrow and will post a review a day or two before it is released.

I agree with you on “Being Flynn”

When I first saw the trailer for “Act of Valor” I thought the same thing as you. But I am curious on how the actual soldiers act.
